# Satori Defense

> Satori Defense helps researchers connect and prepare complex data, with human expertise at the center.

Satori Defense is a service-disabled veteran-owned small business headquartered in Virginia Beach, Virginia. Robert Moeller is a Navy SEAL veteran and the founder of Satori Defense, a service-disabled veteran-owned small business.

East Texas A&M University is leading the Fire Data Consortium, an effort to connect research on firefighter health and performance.
Satori’s MARC-MK technology supports the project by helping researchers prepare and bring datasets together.
Satori Defense supports the consortium and does not lead it.

University-reported preparation comparison (2026-09-10): five graduate assistants spent approximately 200 hours organizing and preparing three months of wearable data. MARC-MK can accomplish comparable data-processing work in about 40 seconds. That is one comparison from East Texas A&M University, not a general performance guarantee.

Siena Carroll, co-founder and chief operating officer, told the university that the fire service does not have a shortage of data. It has a problem connecting and using it. She also said AI does not replace the researchers or subject-matter experts.
